Description
Linker Mezzanine card starter kit has a shield breadout board designed for 96Boards. All the Linker kit modules can be plugged onto 96Boards through this card. It arrives in a plain white cardboard box, and inside it has a loft modules of Linker kit including button, LED, touch sensor, tilt module, relay and so on. This starter kit is a great way to get started with 96Boards, and it cotains the components you need to make 8 fun projects following the step-by-step tutorials. Starting the basics of electronics modules, to more complex projects, the kit will help you control the physical world with sensor and actuators, also help you quick start on progamming using 96Boards.
The kit contains a Linker Mezzanine card which make connection easy to modules of Linker kit. There are 8 spacing houing on the card and these connectors covering Analog, UART, I2C and GPIO. There are bidirectional voltage-level translators which allows for low-voltage bidirectional translation between any of the 1.2-V,1.5-V, 1.8-V, 2.5-V, 3.3-V, and 5-V voltage nodes. So it compatibles with 3.3V or 5V module and make connecting peripheral more easily. You just plug a jumper onto JP9 to select which input voltage do you have. Moreover, this shield has an on-board ADC chip so that analog output modules can be used on 96board. The ADC chip used is MCP3004. It talks to 96Boards using SPI interface.
